Before you thread the needle
Will the patterns print at the right size?
Yes. Every template page has a 1 inch test square: print at "Actual size" or 100% (not "Fit to page") and measure it. A one-page printing guide shows how for Windows, Mac, iPhone and iPad. If it still won't print right, we fix it or refund you.
I've never sewn. Can I do this?
Yes. You need 3 hand stitches, all drawn step by step. Start with the Gingerbread Man or the Name Star: "First project" level, under an hour. No sewing machine.
How long does one ornament take?
Every pattern shows a real time, calculated from the length of every seam at a relaxed beginner pace, cutting included. Most ornaments: 40-90 minutes.
Which felt should I buy?
Wool blend felt, about 1 mm thick, in 9 × 12 in sheets: it doesn't pill and edges stay clean. The felt guide lists good brands, a $15-20 starter kit, and each pattern tells you which colors and how much of a sheet.
Are the instructions easy to follow?
Each pattern is 1-3 pages of short steps, every step with its own drawing: numbered pieces, what goes on top of what, where the opening goes.
Will mine look like the photos?
The photos are made from the exact pattern pieces: same shapes, same colors, same stitches. Handmade means yours will have its own little quirks, and that's the charm.
How do I get the files?
Right after checkout you get a download page and an email: one complete PDF plus a folder for each collection, in US Letter and A4. Works on computer, phone and tablet. Can't open it? Write to us and we send it again.
Is this a physical product?
No, it's a digital download: you print the patterns at home or at a print shop. Nothing ships, no felt included.
